“The Real Challenges of Leadership… for Me”

UCLA Head Women’s Basketball Coach, Cori Close, will talk about the challenges of leadership and how she has managed those challenges. Cori is in her seventh season at the helm of the Bruins’ program and sports an overall record of 142-82 (.634). The Bruins are currently ranked No. 8 in this week’s AP Top 25 Poll (Associated Press) and tied for first place in the Pac-12 with a league record of 10-2 and an overall mark of 19-4. Last year she guided UCLA to its first-ever back-to-back Sweet Sixteen appearance in the NCAA Tournament in school history. In 2016 she was named the United States Marine Corps/WBCA NCAA Division I Region 5 Co-Coach of the Year after guiding UCLA to its first NCAA Sweet Sixteen appearance since 1999.
