2018 UCLA Administrative Management Group Awards

Kelsey Duff, recipient of the Rising Star Award; Robin Epstein Ludewig, recipient of the Excellence in Leadership Award; and Steve Peckman, recipient of the Distinguished Career Award.

The UCLA Administrative Management Group, in partnership with campus human resources, honored three staff members at its annual Excellence Awards ceremony.

This year’s Rising Star Award recipient is Kelsey Duff, assistant director of student services in the UCLA School of the Arts and Architecture. The award, presented by Ravi Rai, an AMG board member and manager in UCLA’s Office of Research Data Management, spotlights an individual with high potential to make a positive impact throughout his or her career, and who has established a leadership role on campus while pursuing training and development opportunities for career growth.

Robin Epstein Ludewig, senior director of talent acquisition in UCLA Health human resources, received the Excellence in Leadership Award. The award, presented by Susi Takeuchi, chief human resources officer for UCLA Health, honors management excellence by recognizing an individual who has had a significant and lasting impact on the people he or she leads, and who exemplifies the leadership qualities that UCLA values.

Steve Peckman, deputy director of the UCLA Broad Stem Cell Research Center, received the Distinguished Career Award. The award, which recognizes an individual who has led a distinguished career over a significant period of time at the university, shared invaluable institutional knowledge with others and made important contributions to the campus as a whole, was presented by Dr. Owen Wittte. Witte is the President’s Chair in Developmental Immunology, Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics, a distinguished professor in microbiology, immunology and molecular genetics, and founding director of the Eli and Edythe Broad Center of Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Research at UCLA.
